1) Why did you as an engineer and businessman decide to write about Mother Mary?
About five
years ago my wife Beatriz pointed out to me in something she was reading that the Virgin Mary was conceived immaculate,
which was explained meant without intercourse from her parents. That really surprised me, because I had thought that
the Immaculate Conception referred to Jesus and not Mary. My curiosity was too great so I started investigating more about
the life of the Blessed Mother and what I found made me even more puzzled and started thinking that it was necessary
to set the record straight and explain who Our Lady really was. That’s when the first idea of the book came
to my mind.
2) What made you leave your job at a growing international
corporation to write this book?
I had an accident in November 2007 in which I had a near death experience.
I was pretty sure I was going to lose my life in this accident, but I came out of it completely unscathed. In the book I explain
in detail what happened and how God saved me in this accident. Then I knew I had to quit my job and three months later that’s
exactly what I did.
3) Are you a Catholic and isn’t this just another religious
book?
Yes, I was born Catholic and have remained Catholic, but this is in no way
another religious book. Let me explain. I discovered my faith as an adult about eleven years ago after I almost lost my life
to cancer. This was a turning point in my life and I realized I had to change. One of the things I had to change was my spirituality.
I had been very far from God until then. I was "ego-centric", not at all a practicing Christian back then. So I
started with eastern meditation techniques and learning from many new age and self-help books. Then later I came to discover
Christ and a few years later I discovered Mary. Most importantly I need to point out that neither Christ nor the Virgin Mary
were Catholics at their time. This was a term invented later on to describe the universality of the Christian Church. It was
men egos and religious politics that have created the many divisions between Christians and have kept Mary locked-up in a
closet. So my purpose is about bringing back Our Lady as the Universal Mother that she is, for all religions
and all races. The book is also about what I have learned from Mother Mary and how she has helped me awaken to my spirituality
and made me a "God-centric" person now.
4) Do you think you are enlightened, since you talk so much about
this in the book?
No, I do not think I am enlightened. However, I believe I have found a path that can
take me to enlightenment and I am pursuing it feverously. I may be ahead of some and behind others in this quest for enlightenment,
but what is important is that we do pursue it in some way. By no means do I believe that my way is the only path or the
right path for others. It is a way that is working very well for me and I wanted to share it with others. People have
to follow the path that feels better to them in their hearts.
5) So the Virgin Mary is appearing in the world today and giving
messages. Can you tell us more or less what she is saying?
Yes, indeed Our Lady has been appearing
recently in many places in the world and even pictures are now being taken of her apparitions. Just like Jesus appeared after
his death to the apostles and many others, Mother Mary is appearing to many people of all races and religions. Our Lady is
telling us that we are living complicated times and that times will get worse if mankind does not change its ways. She also
tells us what we need to do to change and avert a calamity.... and you know how people are worried about 2012, global warming
and other potential life threatening events. The sense of urgency of her messages has been increasing in the last years and
I personally witnessed one of her messages where she said: "Prepare, prepare, prepare ...". In Mother Mary's Resurrection
I explain how we can all prepare for what is to come.
6) Is there anything else you would like to point out about the
book?
Yes, in the book I also talk about the crisis that the world is facing today with regards to corporate
ethics and abuses of the financial world. I incorporate Mother Mary’s teachings in this regard and propose some things
we can do to change. We must do something about this quick or we will be driven down the drain further by a system that we
ourselves have created and which no longer works. For this purpose and focus for me this year is the Corporate Ethics
Foundation which I have created here in Sedona. You can learn more about it in the website www.CorporateEthicsFoundation.org
